Teens Feb 12th: Reading The World

  WARM UP: Adverb list: Very | Slightly | Somewhat | Fairly | Slightly | Completely | Not very | Extremely | Really  Storytelling  Follow the story that your teacher began. Each student has to come up with a way to continue with the story.  "Yesterday, I was sitting in my living room, watching some TV, and then..." Read the information on page 26. Do exercise 2.  Work on THIS exercise with your classmates in break out rooms.    Analyze the following sentences with your classmates: -  Sara was going to buy tickets for the play, but they were sold out.  -  Mike was on the verge of buying the book, and then he realized it was in Portuguese.   Adverbs of degree  Organize the adverbs on page 23, exercise 13, and try to put them in the level of degree they belong to, based on your opinion.   Find extra practice HERE Practice In the following activity, spin the first wheel to get an adverb, then, depending on the adverb you get, choose the wheel for gradable or ungradable adjectives and make a sentence about a book, movie, or documentary using the adverb and the adjective.  Ask your classmates what their think about what you said.
